The ABC Federation Protocol & Multi-Tiered Assemblies

Catalysism builds and sustains classless ways of living together within and between communities. We never gatekeep Catalysism itself — all Knowledge Base guides (ABCFederation.org/kb), handbooks, and open-source tools (CMMNS.io, Mutuali.net) are 100% open to everyone. Formal membership in the ABC Federation operates strictly through Member Collectives (ABCs) that ratify and uphold this Protocol, alongside collective-verified Independent Catalysts whose accountability traces back to an originating Member Collective.

Every federated ABC upholds: (1) The Autonomist Spirit (direct action and mutual aid outside state and corporate control), (2) Decentralization, (3) Anti-Capitalist Relations, (4) Participatory Governance, (5) Enhancing Community Capacity, (6) Building Classless Relations, (7) Anti-Oppression & Intersectionality, (8) Resisting Co-option, (9) Human-Centered Tools, (10) Principled Praxis, (11) Accessibility & Disability Justice, and (12) Trust & Transparency.

Plurality of ABCs & Federations: Multiple ABCs can overlap in the same area without competing for territory, and other collectives are always free to form sister ABC federations with their own creative names and interoperate peer-to-peer with ABCFederation.org.

To coordinate globally without colonial erasure or technical namespace collisions, the federation pairs standardized 3-letter metro routing codes (such as PHL, NYC, CHI) with primary Indigenous, ecological, and culturally sovereign territory descriptors (such as Lenapehoking / Coquata).

Federated collectives share resources and skills through Downward Subsidization (assisting emerging Stage 1–3 collectives), Lateral Conduits (peer-to-peer exchanges), and Upward Pooling (shared federation commons). Macro-coordination takes place in Multi-Tiered Participatory Assemblies (Metro/Neighborhood Councils, Bioregional/Continental Assemblies, and the Global Federation Congress) using rotational, recallable delegates who hold zero authority over local internal collective affairs.

When tensions arise between federated ABCs, collectives engage in non-punitive inter-collective Renewal and peer mediation. Any collective may disaffiliate at any time while retaining full sovereignty over its local data in CMMNS.io.
